2T Mode: The cutting process is initiated and maintained by holding down the torch trigger. When the trigger is released,
the cutting process stops. This mode is typically used for manual cutting operations where the worker has direct control
over the start and stop of the cutting process.
4T Mode: Suitable for more automated cutting processes. The worker presses and releases the torch trigger to start the
cutting process, and the machine continues cutting until the trigger is pressed and released again to stop. This mode is
useful for longer cuts where the worker does not need to hold the trigger continuously.
Pre-flow Air (Front Air): The air flow starts a few seconds before the arc is struck to ensure that the cutting area is properly
purged and ready for cutting. This helps in achieving a cleaner cut by removing any contaminants from the cutting area.
Post-flow Air (Rear Air): The air continues to flow for a few seconds after the arc is extinguished. This helps in cooling the
cut area and removing any residual molten metal, which can improve the quality of the cut and extend the life of the consumables.
These modes are designed to optimize the cutting process for different materials and cutting conditions, ensuring high-quality cuts and efficient operation of the plasma cutting machine.
